I am a voter in your constituency for the general election and I want you to make the rights of people with disabilities a priority in your campaign and on election to the Dáil.

Please commit to:

*COST OF LIVING WITH A DISABILITY*
Introduce a cost of disability payment that is appropriate to a person's disability, regardless of social welfare or employment status.
 
*PERSONAL ASSISTANT SERVICES*
Invest in disability services by resolving pay parity issues so that personal assistants are paid the same as HSE workers.

*COMMUNITY CENTRE*
Appropriate multi-annual funding to sustain day services and to plan for expanding need in the future.

*TRANSPORT*
Ensuring that people with disabilities can access public transport and safely access the infrastructure surrounding public transport. 
Publish and adequately resource the review of transport grants and entitlements for people with disabilities.

*HOUSING*
Amend Part M (Section 3, Access and Use) of the Building Regulations 2010 to ensure future housing built will be wheelchair liveable instead of just wheelchair visitable.   
The Housing Adaptation Grant review uplift to €40,000 does not reflect building costs. Flexibility in local authorities to approve the cost of an extension based on tendering.

*SECTORAL REFORM*
Invest money to resource an Action Plan for the Disability Services.
Provide funding for full pay restoration for Section 39 organisations and return to alignment with HSE pay scales so that they can recruit and retain their staff.
 
 *ACCESS*
Introducing a full-time Disability Access Officer for each Local Authority.  
Provide for a changing places facility in every town to ensure privacy, dignity, and respect for people with disabilities. 
Wheelchair access to beaches and waterways.

*SPORT*
Provide IWA Sport with additional Core Funding to deliver activities and pathways, maintaining the “Sport for All Scheme” for disability sport in the IWA Sport Club network.
